We get asked many questions. Here, you’ll find some common ones and their answers. If you have something you can’t find here, you’re still welcome to ask.
Can you get your salesperson to visit me to discuss my application?
Yes, we can arrange a visit to discuss your application and project requirements. Please contact us to schedule.
I’m a home user and only need one or two products. Can I buy from you?
Generally, we cater more to larger projects and we have a minimum order quantity. For smaller orders, we would recommend you to get in touch with us to find out if there are any retailers carrying the particular product. More information on this available here.
Do you provide free delivery?
Yes, on certain conditions. Please contact us for details.
Do you do export orders?
Yes, we do. Please contact us and we’ll refer you to our export department.
Why didn’t you move manufacturing out of Singapore?
We think there is value to being located in Singapore. Costs may be higher, but with our facilities in Singapore, we can have better control over our operations and the quality of our products. More importantly, we can have a very rapid response rate to our clientele here. There is also a lot of pride to having a “Made-in-Singapore” badge on our products — something that our customers also highly value.
What are the differences between silicones, PU sealants, and hybrid polymers?
This is a broad topic. In short, silicone sealants are the most common and offer excellent weather resistance. PU sealants offer good adhesion and paintability. Hybrid polymers (like our Fix All range) combine the best of both — they bond, seal, and can be painted. Contact us for specific recommendations for your application.
Are “silicon” and “silicone” sealants the same thing?
No. Silicone sealants are always spelt with the extra “e” — silicon is a totally different chemical element and is not used for sealing. Also, “silicone” does not mean sealant — the proper term is always “silicone sealant”.
Why are my results different from your data sheet?
Our figures in technical data sheets are based on specific test conditions and are an indication of the product’s properties. Results may vary depending on actual conditions, substrates, and application methods. We recommend carrying out preliminary experiments. If you have a problem, speak to us — we’re always here to help.
Do your test reports have an expiry date?
No, test reports do not have an expiry date.
Which Fix All product should I use?
Generally, Fix All Flexi is your best bet since it offers the best value for money and is perfectly capable at both sealing and bonding. However, there may be specific requirements where other products work better. Browse our adhesives range or contact us for recommendations.
Do you carry primers?
No. In our experience (over 30 years), clients in the building and construction industry simply do not use primers. We have a good range of products which work extremely well even without the use of a primer, such as our Fix All range.
